DSC_0540.JPGCREATING ADVENTURE AND WONDER OUTDOORS

Geocaching is a real world, outdoor treasure hunting game. Players try to locate hidden containers, called geocaches, using GPS enabled devices. Tri-Town YMCA and several Dupage County Forest Preserves have Geocaching adventures available.

TRI-TOWN YMCA OFFERS GEOCACHE TREASURE HUNTING

The Tri-Town YMCA is lending out GPS devices giving the local community an opportunity to learn the exciting adventure of    Geocaching. An adult over the age of 18, (with a credit card as a security deposit for the unit) can borrow a GPS device from the Y office during the hours of 9 am to 4 pm, Monday-Friday. The  device must be returned by 4 pm to avoid a fee. The Tri-Town staff will provide a quick trial exercise near the office to show how to use the GPS device and how to find a local Geocache Box.   Tri-Town will also provide the children participating in the instructional hunt with a “treasure” after their  successful discovery of the  treasure box. GPS devices will be available on a first come basis. We hope to see you soon to experience the wonderful challenge of treasure hunting with Geocaching!
