Live Healthy. Live Better. Villa Park.

In November 2011 the Tri-Town YMCA received funding through Y of the USA from the Center for Disease Control to implement systemic change in the Villa Park community to support opportunities for physical activity and healthy eating and reduce the number of people living with unhealthy weight. 

The team of Villa Park Community Leaders working in tandem with Tri-Town YMCA are part of the following organizations: 

Catholic Charities, DuPage County Health Department, FORWARD Coalition, Russell Chiropractic, School District 45, School District 48, Village of Villa Park – City Management, Library, Parks & Recreation, Villa Park Chamber of Commerce, Villa Park/Lombard Religious Leaders Network (St. Paul Lutheran, Parkwood Community Church, Greater Works Church of God in Christ), Willowbrook High School.  Leaders are also representative of civic organizations such as Villa Park Rotary and Kiwanis.

The team has developed its own unique mission and vision statement and logo.  Their community action plan is in progress with completion expected before the end of 2012.

Vision Statement: Growing a strong community where the healthy choice is the easy choice for everyone.
