This week has challenged many of us to think and live differently then we have ever done before, but even during this time of uncertainty, there have been many rays of hope and a shared compassion to help our neighbors in need. We have been so incredibly blessed by the scores of neighbors who have stepped up to help feed hungry children in our community, and now, we are about to mobilize another effort that is incredibly important for all of us.
As of yesterday, Tri-Town YMCA has been called upon to provide emergency childcare assistance to those who must report for essential positions. These heroes in our community are going to work so that we may continue to be a community that is vibrant and thriving. They are putting their lives on the line so that our sick neighbors can be cared for and so that we may soon go on with our daily routines of school, work, soccer games, and social gatherings. We will get back there because of these individuals who are sacrificing everything for you and me.
For those of you who are staying home, you too can be a superhero! Join us in the #SocialDistancingChallenge and make a financial gift to Tri-Town YMCA and help us provide emergency childcare for the sons and daughters of nurses, doctors, grocers, and others who must report to work during this critical time.
Your tax-deductible donation will help us provide for vital services like this and others that will make an immediate and direct difference for our local families. To make your charitable gift securely online, please click on the “Give Today” button.
Thank you for your kind consideration of this request to help others in a way that keeps you and others safe during this very uncertain time. On behalf of the board of directors, staff, volunteers, and all those that we serve and support, we wish you and your family good health now and always.
Sarah O’Donnell, CEO
