“My husband and I had recently retired when our daughter, who was raising her son alone, suffered a paralyzing illness. We assumed her care and the care of our grandson.  I work again now, but we’re struggling to make ends meet and child care is a big expense that we hadn’t planned for.  We were so relieved to learn that the Y has financial assistance.  I really don’t know what we would do without the Y.  The Y provides a great environment for kids, and I really feel like the teachers care about my grandson and our situation.”   –Y’s Kids financial assistance participant
