Fred Leinweber, Tri-Town Board Member
Principal of North Elementary School, Fred became a Tri-Town Board Member in 2024. The reason why he chose to serve Tri-Town? He felt compelled after he experienced firsthand the wonderful, long-term partnership that the Y had formed with his school.
“Tri-Town YMCA has done a fantastic job of supporting our learning community with its before- and after-school programs,” he said. “When we have had families in need, the Y has been there to support them with programming and services.”
Fred is a member of the Illinois Principal Association and is the president of DANK West, a German American Club. He is actively involved with the Knights of Columbus through the Notre Dame Parish in Clarendon Hills. Weekends are for family, watching his kids play sports, enjoying a movie, and living out his motto, “Whenever you have an opportunity, help someone out.”
