Joe Ritchie, Tri-Town Board President
Joes has been a board member since 2016 and in 2026, he was elected Board President. In addition to that role, he actively serves on Tri-Town’s Finance and Executive committees.
“I love Tri-Town’s mission and vision,” Joe said. “We are community based and strive to meet the needs of the students and families in Villa Park, Lombard, and Oakbrook Terrace.” Hoe knows first-hand the gaps Tri-Town YMCA can fill for a family… both his son and daughter were Y Kids in the after-school program!
Inside and beyond the walls of the YMCA, Joe is admired for always representing his favorite motto: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” He loves to put on his science hat and discover a multitude of experiments to keep his granddaughters entertained. You might also find Joe at a local lake enjoying a fishing weekend.
A retired assistant principal in D45 and adjunct professor, Joe is currently serving on the Parkview Community Benevolent Committee. He holds a doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on systems and system change. He is a proud recipient of the Illinois Principal Association Assistant Principal of the Year Award.
